Export a Japanese podcast transcript
Every episode in Wakatta has a transcript you can take with you. Copy or share the whole thing in kanji, with furigana above the kanji, or fully in kana — or drag across the lines you care about and take only that.
This exports the whole transcript. For a single phrase, select it by dragging in the transcript.
Switch between Kanji, Furigana and Kana — the text really re-renders, which is what the export does. Then hit Copy all.
A transcript locked inside an app is half a transcript. The useful thing about text is that it goes places: a notes file, a message to your teacher, a deck, a document you are already working in.
Three scripts, one transcript
Export in Kanji as it was written, in Furigana with the readings above, or in Kana with the kanji resolved. The same episode, in whichever form is useful to you — kanji for reading practice, kana for checking what you actually heard.
What lands on your clipboard is the episode title, the show, a link back to it, and then the transcript. So when you paste it somewhere, it still knows where it came from.
Or just the part you want
You rarely want a whole episode. Hold and drag across the transcript — across line breaks, as far as you like — and copy exactly that span. Or long-press a line's timestamp for a menu that copies that single line, or shares a link that opens the episode at that second.
What people do with it
Paste a passage into a notes app and work through it slowly. Send a line to a teacher or a language partner and ask what it meant. Build a deck from sentences you actually heard rather than sentences written to demonstrate a grammar point. Feed a paragraph to a tool of your choice.
The transcript is not a walled garden. It is text, and it comes out as text.
